Les alpages de val cenis
Activities
At an altitude of 1458 m, in the heart of Haute-Maurienne Vanoise, the villages of Lanslebourg and Lanslevillard have come together to form the resort of Val-Cenis Vanoise.
Many activities are available within the valley.
We invite you to check with the Lanslebourg and Lanslevillard Tourist Offices for the schedules of the shuttles and ski lifts which can save you a lot of
energy ...
Some examples of easily accessible activities :
Summer skiing
Inaugurated in 1937, the Col de l'Iseran is the highest road pass in all of the Alps. At the summit at an altitude of 2764 m, you flirt with the glaciers of Val d'Isère and Vanoise. Located elsewhere in the national park, the surrounding nature is totally preserved. In summer it is possible to ski. A word of advice: go there early and at the very beginning of summer. Do not hesitate to inquire because the opening naturally depends on the state of snow.
"Via Ferrata"
An easy and secure journey in an aerial setting ...
The rise to heaven, the imps, the crossing of the angels, the pitcher, the descent into hell
for the more adventurous ... and many others! Routes suitable for children and families.
Paragliding flight
Flight "discovery" or "sensation" depending on the weather conditions and your desires.
Activity open to everyone (no vertigo),
all year.
Take off and land in just a few steps.
Flight over the valley comfortably installed.
Electric bike
Attacking the Col de l'Iseran or even the Col de la Madeleine by bike is not within everyone's reach.
Renting a bicycle with electric assistance can be a way to have a nice walk without suffering too much.
And... there is Italy 🇮🇹
EPassing through the Col du Mont Cenis, Italy is quickly accessible and can be a pleasant solution in case of bad weather in Val Cenis. On the other side of the border, the city of Susa is very picturesque and worth a detour. FYI, the market is held on Tuesday morning.
The prices of alcohol in the many shops in the city are very attractive.
A little further, the city of Turin (Torino) is worth the trip. The Egyptian Museum and the Cinema Museum are very well done. For football fans, a visit to the Juve stadium is a must.
Much further away (round trip during the day nevertheless possible), the city of Milan (its Cathedral, La Scala ...) is a beautiful destination.
And then... our favorite
Near the Bellecombe car park, in the municipality of Val Cenis Termignon, we highly recommend that you stop (or even more) at the Auberge de Bellecombe.
A former alpine farm inn, Célia (a real ray of sunshine) and her family will welcome you to a warm and authentic place.
Come from us...
Celia's omelet and her tartiflette are not to be missed.
If you go there in the evening, it is safer to book.
